Countrywide Truckfest Winners 2010

The 2010 truck show season started off over the early May bank holiday weekend at the Peterborough Truck Fest.

The Countrywide show team set off on Friday evening arriving at the showground around 8pm, finding an already well populated arena of fellow competitors.Once a suitable pitch had been located everyone helped out to set up base camp for the next three days.

Saturday morning saw the polish, metal cleaner, paint and numerous other cleaning products come out of hibernation to do the magic.

With a capacity entry list of some 1,200 show trucks, we were very pleased to do what has never been done before - winning Best Custom and Paintwork category two years in a row.Congratulations must go to everyone involved for another outstanding crowd pleasing performance, which bought the Countrywide brand another very high profile victory.

A special mention must go to Neil Jones and his better half Jayne, along with Neil's brother and his wife for an absolutely first class job of catering for the whole team, even producing a full Sunday roast in the middle of a
field for everyone.

Truckfest – Supreme Champions 2009

The Countrywide Transport and Show Team headed off to Peterborough to participate in Europe's largest and toughest Truck Show: Truckfest 2009, competing against the best of the best from UK and Europe. The weather was very kind which drew huge crowds to the showground, and also gave everyone involved plenty of time to get the trucks ready for judging. With some 1500 trucks entered in the competition the standards were extremely high, and once again the Countrywide fleet looked outstanding.  Credit must go to all involved for making this the most prestigious and rewarding result Countrywide have had to date.

Countrywide Distribution take top honours at the Southwest Truckfest 2008

Members of the Transport Department ventured down to the Royal Bath & West Showground with their everyday working trucks this weekend. They took on some very stiff competition in the Southwest Truckfest 2008. With horrendous weather to battle against, flooded tents and anything else mother nature could throw at them, an absolutely sterling effort was made by everyone to get the trucks up to show conditions.

With hundreds of spectators daring to brave the elements it soon became apparent that our fleet of trucks were becoming a hot favourite, even amongst our fellow competitors. As time went on, judging had finished and Charlie Fisher had stopped chewing his nails, everybody was gathered in the inside arena on Sunday afternoon for the final results. Tensions high and nerves shattered our hard working show team eagerly waited to find out who were the winners.

After what can only be described as a totally dedicated bunch of hardworking individuals they were to be awarded with 2 Supreme Champions trophies, a 2nd place trophy and £650 prize money. Congratulations
are to go to the following:

We are the champions 2006!

The Distribution business at Countrywide Farmers (CWF) scooped two top prizes at Truckfest South West 2006, held at the Royal Bath & West Showground.

Charlie Fisher’s team was named Supreme Champion in the best mural and paintwork class, for its vehicle-side representation of the popular Ronnie Barker character, Arkwright, from the classic comedy series ‘Open All Hours.’

And to make it a double celebration, the five vehicles that made up the CWF Distribution fleet displayed at the show beat off competition from over 80 fleets to claim third prize in the ‘Best Fleet’ category.

The Distribution team who attended the event returned from the show laden with trophies, £350 of prize moneyand reflections on some great teamwork and an excellent day out.
