Warehousing
The Countrywide central distribution centre, covering 50,000 square feet, supplies the store network with up to 1 - 3 deliveries per week using the Countrywide fleet. The distribution centre operates 6 days a week with teams working rotating shifts from 6am to 10pm, with an average of 400 pallets per day despatched to stores. The distribution team uses the latest handheld scanners provided fast effective stock reports of products processed through good inward and goods outward.
In addition to retail products, the distribution centre is the hub of supply for many other areas of the business, including:
- Energy products including bottling plant for propane and butane LP gas.
- Our Agri products including Feed, Arable, Alternative Feeds
- Amenity products
- Renewables products including wood pellets
- Chemical Stores
